Pedley Projects was founded in 2017 by Tom Pedley, after more than ten years working across both commercial and residential construction in Northern Tasmania.

Tom started the business with a clear idea of what he wanted it to be: a builder small enough to know every project inside out, and disciplined enough to run them like the larger commercial jobs he'd cut his teeth on. The two halves of his career — the precision and program management of commercial work, and the warmth and finish of good residential work — became the way Pedley Projects does everything.

Nine years on, the team is nine people strong, and a meaningful share of our work each year is for clients we've already built for before. We take that as the most honest measure of whether a builder is doing it right.

We read the drawings carefully before we price them, and we ask our questions early — before site, not on it.

If something goes wrong, you'll hear it from us first, with what we're doing about it.

We plan each job properly and run it to a realistic program. Things come up on every build — a variation, a late delivery, a trade held up elsewhere — and when they do, we work through them with you, not around you.

The site is tidy, the trades are treated as professionals, and if our name's on the sign out the front we want to be proud to stand next to it when the photos are taken.
